    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing on the financial status of the Kenya Railway Corporation. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Provide a detailed report on the current financial status of Kenya Railways Corporation including its revenue expenses and any outstanding debts or financial challenges it may be facing. (2) Clarify whether the Government has provided any financial support or bailout to the institution in recent years, and if so, provide information on the amount, terms and conditions of such support. (3) Confirm if investigations or audits into the financial affairs of the Institution have been conducted stating the key findings and recommendations of such investigations. (4) Provide details on the Institution’s revenue diversification strategies and efforts to address these financial challenges indicating plans in place to ensure that its long-term financial sustainability."
