    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization and Tourism regarding the financial status of the East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC). In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Provide a detailed report on the current financial status of EAPCC, disclosing its total assets and liabilities. (2) Outline the categories of assets held by EAPCC, stating their respective values. (3) Specify the nature of outstanding liabilities and debts of EAPCC, explaining any safeguards put in place to ensure the company can meet these obligations. (4) Explain measures put in place to enhance EAPCC’s operational efficiency to ensure it maintains a strong financial position."
