Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(c), I wish to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security regarding the unexplained abduction and disappearances of several persons within Garissa Township Constituency. Hon. Deputy Speaker, on 8th October 2023, Mr Adow Mohammed Hassan of ID No.25572443 was abducted from his house in Garissa Town. The father of nine has since been missing. On 18th of October 2023, again, Mr Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamud of National ID No.26323016 and a father of six was abducted from a hotel within Nairobi, Eastleigh area and has not been seen since then. Less than two weeks later on 30th October 2023, Mr Abdirashid Hirsh Mohamed of ID No.30391407, a father of five, was picked by police officers from his shop in Garissa and his disappearance remains a mystery to date.
