To support the construction industry in this country, without being alive to the fact that the construction industry is not in the hands of Kenyans, is a defeatist approach to management. Even the so called local contractors are actually Asians. Asians have one foot in this country, another foot in Britain and another foot in Canada. It is a shame that out of the 26 local construction companies, only two, Nyoro and Kirinyaga Construction are indigenously owned companies. The Minister must devise means to make sure that he supports local contractors so that the money that is put in"
