So, it is appropriate that as many things happen, we allow our thoughts, as leaders, to help us take a step forward in giving our contribution to have a policy that is futuristic. One of the things that has captured my attention is the broad-based manner in which this policy has been made. When I look at the actors that participated in developing this Sessional Paper, they are broad. They include people from the international development partners, national Government, county governments and the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). They are very broad. Equally, the alignment of this policy will occur by enjoining various treaties and agreements that have been signed by this country. For example, it is a desire that this policy aligns with the international development agenda and frameworks like the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the East African Community Vision 2050, the African Union 2063 agenda as well as the Addis Ababa declaration. This is the right time that we can have our policy align to all these so that as we move forward…"
