"content": "Schedule of Amendments pursuant to Article 112(1)(b) of the Constitution and Standing Orders 46(1) and 164(c) of the Senate Standing Orders. Hon. Members, I direct that the two Senate Bills be read a First Time in line with Standing Order 143, when the House sits next. After being read a First Time, the Bills shall stand committed to respective Committees as follows: 1. The Learners with Disabilities Bill, (Senate Bills No.4 of 2023), to the Departmental Committee on Education. 2. The Equalisation Fund (Administration) Bill, (Senate Bills No.14 of 2023), to the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning. You will recall that on Tuesday, 27th June 2023, this House passed the County Governments Additional Allocations Bill, (National Assembly Bill No.23 of 2023), following which I referred it to the Senate for consideration. Therefore, the House is expected to consider the schedule of the Senate’s amendments to the Bill in the manner contemplated in Standing Orders 145 to 147 of National Assembly Standing Orders. To this end, I hereby refer the schedule of the Senate’s amendments to the County Governments Additional Allocations Bill, (National Assembly Bill No.23 of 2023), to the Budget and Appropriations Committee for consideration. In conclusion, the three committees are expected to table their reports on the Bills to guide the House on the next steps to be taken on the Bills. The House is accordingly guided."
