    "content": " Hon. Temporary Speaker, I just wanted to thank the Committee for this important amendment to the Insurance Act. We all agree that insurance is very important in this country. Insurance is one of the key players in our economy. It provides a lot of employment to our young people. It is also a major contributor to our GDP. As the Chair said, it is the right direction when we want to push for serious accountability in this sector. We are as a House doing the right thing for this country, the insurance sector and insured Kenyans. When this sector is collecting money from Kenyans, I indicated that they are very excited. They put on very smiley faces. When it comes to paying claims, they start dodging Kenyans. We are making sure they are as happy when paying claims, as they are happy when collecting money from clients. I support and thank the House for this good amendment. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."
