Mundigi deserves our attention and that of the Committee on Education because this is a policy decision the Government has played ping-pong on a number of occasions. Previously in 2015, there was a directive that in the interest of saving taxpayers’ money, because school teachers were buying books at exaggerated amounts, a centralized procurement system be put in place. They would procure from the national Government and send them to schools. That policy appeared to be working initially.
