"content": "I have brought Statements to this House, the latest one was to the Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations, where I happen to the be Vice Chairperson. It was on the upsurge of a notorious habit called Aluta that involved over-partying by the young people of Nairobi. I am a Christian and I believe that the work that we do in this House is the work of God. We are the representatives of people and they rely on us to pass laws and to intervene for them. Madam Temporary Speaker, I take this opportunity to thank the people of Nairobi for giving me great support and making me their envoy here; for always liaising with me and giving me their views, so that I can represent them in this House. I wish them a Merry Christmas. I know times are hard. We do not have money and the economy is tough, but I tell them to hang in there because the plans the Government is making are going to bear fruits in the long-run and Kenyans are going to be happy. I believe that the time for re-election for our President, His Excellency (Dr.) William Samoei Ruto, will be an exciting time for Kenyans and they will look forward to give him another term because of the fruits that we will have gotten because of the steps that he has taken. I wish to implore Sen. Okiya Omtatah and other people who are going to fight the Government plans in court not to politicize everything simply because they do not support the Government. They should also sit and consider the intention of the Government and the end of what the Government is trying to achieve for its people. They should not put bottlenecks on Government plans. Ultimately, it is their people who will benefit from the steps the Government is taking."
