Pursuant to Standing Order No. 33(1), I rise to seek leave for adjournment of the House to discuss a definite matter of urgent national importance regarding the rising femicide cases in the country. Article 26 of the Constitution provides that every person has a right to life. This right is inalienable and accrues to every person regardless of age, gender, and social status."
