"content": "Officers who opted to retire immediately upon the dissolution of EAC were paid their retirement benefits on 30th June, 1977. Those who took the second option continue to be paid their retirement benefits in full from the date they joined the EAC to the date of retirement from the Kenyan Government or State corporations. In addition, some members who had contributed to the East African Provident Fund and the National Social Security Fund are paid as they leave service based on their contribution records, which are extracted from the Arusha, EAC Registry for the purpose."
