For the first time in this Ministry, after 25 years, he has acknowledged that they received ÂŁ21,841,427. However, he has contradicted himself several times in his answer. In Part (a) of his answer, the second paragraph, he has said that officers who opted to retire immediately upon the dissolution of the EAC were paid their retirement benefits as at 30th June, 1977.
