    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism regarding cooperative societies in Bungoma County. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) List of all cooperative societies operating within Bungoma County, detailing their specific areas of operation. (2) List the cooperative societies funded by the Bungoma County Government for the financial years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024, detailing the projects implemented with this support. (3) State the criteria used by the county government to select cooperatives for funding, furnishing financial and audit reports of the cooperative societies funded by the Bungoma County Government and those not receiving funding from the County Government. (4) Apprise the Senate on the compliance status of these societies with current regulations and the county's strategies to enhance support for cooperatives financially and technically."
