    "content": "every time begging. Sen. Olekina, let us encourage our people to pay taxes. When we generate enough revenue, we will finance our issues as a county. Parliament, which comprise the Senate and the National Assembly, should put the Executive to account to explain what they have done with the taxes they collect. If we were to take that route, then we will really discourage the good taxpayers in this county. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that is all I wanted to say because I had already answered that Question. I only wanted my friend to know that paying taxes is our responsibility. It hurts me when I hear the President or my boss being called “Zakayo” throughout and a narrative being created to demonstrate that he has no feelings. I sit there and know how difficult it is to raise resources to finance our own budget, yet Kenyans are being discouraged on payment of taxes. I have served on both sides and know what it really means. I thank you."
