Members, the second Message conveys that on Thursday, 22nd February 2024, the Senate considered and approved the mediated version of the County Governments Additional Allocations Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 23 of 2023). Members will recall that on Wednesday, 21st February 2024, this House adopted the Report of the Mediation Committee on the Bill, consequent to which it approved the said version of the Bill as proposed by the Committee. The approval of the mediated version of the Bill by the Senate concludes the bicameral consideration of the Bill. In this regard and in accordance with the provisions of Article 113(3) of the Constitution, I will proceed to present the Bill to His Excellency the President for assent. The House is accordingly guided. Thank you."
