    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I think I had spoken to this Bill. It was read the First Time on 17th August 2023, pursuant to Standing Order 127(1). The Bill was committed to the Department of Committee on Labour for consideration and facilitation of public participation. The principle object of this Bill is to provide for the right to disconnect in the digital age. This Bill seeks to address increased employee burn-out. Digital connectivity has also been noted to be slowly eroding leisure time for employees and, hence, affecting their work-life balance. This Bill, therefore, seeks to strike a balance between work and private life and allow digital technology to have a positive effect on workers' quality of life that is supported by employers."
