    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the delay in processing of passports. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Report on the efficiency of processing of passport applications by the Directorate of Immigration Services, stating any measures put in place by the Ministry of Interior and National Administration to expedite the renewal and issuance of passports, particularly for Kenyans living in the diaspora.
