Member in order to tell this House, in presence of learners who are actually taking notes, that there has never been floods like the floods we experienced in the recent past when we know that throughout the history of the world, flooding has been a phenomenon that happens up to, including what is recorded in our religious books? I know of Noah’s Ark story and the massive floods as narrated in the Bible. Therefore, Hon. Bashir ought to be factual as stipulated by our Standing Orders. He should not mislead this House into thinking that the only flooding that has ever happened in this country is the one that happened in his lifetime. He might want to look back and see that flooding is a phenomenon which has been there since time immemorial. It is only that it is happening at a frequency that has not been experienced before."
