Is he confirming that the officer in question had actually been investigated for fraud and also for failing to pay his debts abroad, which are contrary to the Public Officers Ethics Act? If, indeed, the Minister is confirming that the documents are authentic, then he must give us cogent documentary evidence that, that officer was cleared? It cannot be a simple statement from the bar!"
