    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support the BPS which has been ably presented by the Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. I thank his Committee profusely for the work well done. Such a policy is going to form the backbone of the budget estimates that will be brought to this House in April for consideration in May and June. This will spur the growth of our country both economically, socially and in other aspects. It is important to note the highlights he has presented to us which we are excited about. We have made pleas on behalf of our constituencies that the trainee teachers are crying that they have been trainees for too long. We are happy to hear that in the 2024/2025 budget, those trainees will be absorbed as permanent and pensionable teachers. For that, we give accolades to the Chairperson and his Committee.
