    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as you will note, the highlights of forestry and wildlife conservation and management requires significant budgetary support. In the Financial Year 2009/2010, there should have been an enhanced funding allocation to my Ministry to shoulder such a heavy responsibility that has enormous economic impact. On the contrary, that funding was not received. In fact, we got less than we got last year. The budgetary allocation in my Ministry is as follows: - General Administration and Planning which is based at the Ministry Headquarters, the Ministry of Finance gave us Kshs253,842,960. The Ministry is responsible for the overall policy formulation and implementation; co-ordination, direction, monitoring and evaluation of the implemented projects and programmes by various line agencies. We have a conservation directorate in the Ministry that will be instrumental in enhancing our work performance and achievement of our projects."
