"content": "Mr. Speaker Sir, the benefits of a circular economy cannot be gainsaid as it cuts on waste and reduces carbon emissions. Products are kept in use for as long as possible through sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling. As we embark on this transformative journey, it is crucial to ensure that these benefits are equitably distributed across all segments in the society. This can be achieved by conducting a thorough gender and general demographic analysis at each stage of the value chain involved in the transformation process. Further, disaggregating the data will also help in identifying and addressing any disparities, if any, in the accessibility of opportunities by both men and women during the process. In order to maximize the impact of our waste management efforts, it is essential to decentralize the circular economy and engage communities at the grassroots level, indicating participation by the ward and benefits to be derived from the waste management process."
