"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support the petition. There are too many historical issues on land ownership. One of the problems we face is that previously the Commissioner of Lands had the power to give out public land however he wanted. By promulgating the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, Kenyans came up with the National Lands Commission (NLC). Unfortunately, 14 years after the NLC was conceptualised and initiated, there are still too many issues. Many of the petitions that come to this House have to do with land issues.
