    "content": "The committee made the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority on 7th March, 2024. During the meeting, a question arose on the adequacy of public participation conducted by the Authority prior to the enactment of the Order. Specifically, the committee noted that the Council of Governors (CoG) did not give any submission during public participation undertaken by the Authority. Pursuant to Section 15 (2) of the Statutory Instruments Act, the committee is required to make a report within 28 sitting days after the date of the referral of the instrument by the House. With regard to the Order, this is due to lapse on Thursday, 21st March, 2024."
