"content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to speak. Allow me to contribute to the Statement by Sen. Gloria Orwoba. Hon. Milly Odhiambo and I attended the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) that was held in Oslo, courtesy of the Eastern and Southern Africa Parliamentary Caucus, which is a caucus of Members of Parliament (MPs) who have an interest in addressing matters relating to sexual reproductive health issues. Both male and female MPs should take greater interest in this issue. If you read the Kenyan Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS), you will find very disturbing statistics. They include very high teenage pregnancies; girls dropping out of school and young men having fertility problems because they are not able to access The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
