    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I wish to join my colleagues in supporting this very important Motion. I will add to what my colleagues have said. Caregivers face many challenges. When a family member has special needs, taking care of them requires the efforts of the most productive member of the family. For instance, if a child in a family has a disability, he or she will not be taken care of by other siblings because they are equally young. The mother or the father, who is also the breadwinner for the rest of the family, takes care of him or her. Persons with disabilities receive an allocation of Ksh2,000. That amount is not enough if that person needs food, shelter, clothing, diapers and medication. The caregiver will need to contribute more to care for such a person. Caring for persons with disabilities has led to strained family relations and even separation."
