(6) That the petitioner, therefore, prays the Senate investigates the matter with a view to ensure that the affected persons are compensated. Hon. Senators, Pursuant to Standing Order No. 238(1), I hereby direct that the Petition be committed to the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing for consideration. In terms of Standing Order No. 238(2), the Committee is required in not more than 60 calendar days from the time of reading this prayer, to respond to the petitioner by way of a report addressed to the petitioners and laid on the Table of the Senate."
