    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, over the last three decades, the Mau Forest Complex has lost 25 per cent of its forests. It has been, and continues to be seriously degraded through irregular and ill-planned settlements, compounded by illegal forest resource extraction. The entire ecosystem is now under threat. The degradation of the Mau is yet another symptom of the weak law enforcement, limited management capacities of institutions and inadequate governance systems."
