The representative of the CoG with a background in the industry of sugar, ensures that the aspects that are devolved in this industry are well catered for. Remember, in the Bill, we have inspectors, seedling preparation and dissemination, the pricing committee in this exercise and the cess that counties will receive. Therefore, the person representing the counties must understand the various regions that grow sugarcane and the dire challenges they go through. They have no reason not to give us a qualified person to sit in the board and ensure that the CoG and agriculture being devolved, gets a fair representation in the board."
