    "content": " Thank you Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to support Vote 43, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. I also want to thank the Minister in charge of that Ministry because the Minister and her technical team have ensured an equitable distribution of resources in that Ministry across board in this country. In supporting this Motion, I have a number of issues to raise. The first one is the expansion of university education in this country. Research and education are key to this country’s development. The Ministry of Livestock Development, where I am the Assistant Minister, and in the Ministry of Agriculture, we will need professionals to undertake research and higher education. If we do not fund the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, then we will be talking about passing this over to key production Ministries.
