It has been moved, seconded and I have proposed the question. You are very right to defeat the Motion. Every choice has a consequence. I have told you that if you reject this list, it will be the final nail on what you passed this morning. If you do not understand and appreciate that as seasoned debaters and legislators, then we are living a lie. The law is the law. It does not have to be reasonable. It is the law. And we are applying the law as it is. You have every right to reject the list. It is not the Speaker’s list. The Speaker has no dog in this fight. It is up to you. It is your leaders who have brought the list and I want you to proceed on the presumption of good faith in your colleagues."
