    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Land, Environment and Natural Resources regarding the reconstitution of the Lamu County Lands Control Board. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Give an update on the status of the reconstitution of the Lamu County Lands Control Board following the revocation of the appointment of the previous board. (2) State the reason for the delay by the Government to reconstitute the said board, which has denied residents of Lamu West Sub County an opportunity to transact matters of land. (3) Provide a timeline for the reconstitution of the gazettement of the board to enable regulation and monitoring of land transactions, mainly agricultural land in Lamu West Sub County."
