I need clarity on the term of office of the Secretary to the Commission because it states that the Secretary shall continue to hold office for the unexpired period. As I support that provision, could the Chairperson clarify how it balances with the provision which says that they can do four terms and are eligible for another four terms? Does this mean they can do those four terms plus the unexpired three terms? That is one concern. The second one is that whereas I appreciate what the Leader of the Majority Party and the Leader of the Minority Party have said in relation to the timelines, there is a saving provision that allows for reappointment of those who are there. This circumvents the idea that we are giving 14 days plus seven days considering that we are already way past the time for delimitation and by-elections in constituencies and wards that have no representation. Otherwise, I support."
