    "content": " Hon. Speaker, this is a difficult moment. I agree with Hon. Ichung’wah that the time was very short for these nominations. There was immense interest from all Members virtually who wanted to be on this Select Committee. As a matter of fact, at one point, I had also considered making amendments to our list but when I approached the Clerk’s Office, I was advised that it was too late to make an amendment. There are very grim concerns that have been raised by my side that the list emanating from the Majority side is comprised of names of Members who are deemed to be extremists and hardliners, so to speak."
