"content": " Hon. Temporary Chairman, litigation cannot be done in perpetuity, even in a court of law. There must be closure to a matter before a court of law. Even in a presidential petition, we have a time limit. If a matter is heard for ten years by the Commission, that, in itself, is a historical injustice. It is an injustice. There must be a determinate period in which a matter is heard and disposed of by the National Land Commission. If you do not give the Commission a time frame in which to hear, determine and dispose of a matter that is taken before it, that amounts to an injustice. We are in a jurisdiction where we normally set timelines on matters. So, I call upon the Members of this House to pass an amendment that will set a timeline to which the National Land Commission can handle a matter."
