Temporary Chairman, I beg to move that the proposed new Clause of the Bill be further amended in Section 15 of the Principal Act by inserting the following new sub-sections immediately after Section 13 — “The Commission shall complete an investigation under Section 10 within one year.” “The Commission shall publish regulations to operationalize this section within six months.” The import of this is that six months will be a very short, considering the issues that are raised within a historical land injustice. If, after six months, we must come back to this Parliament again and seek an extension, then nothing much will be achieved. I propose that we do one year with an option of seeking an extension from Parliament after one year. This is neater. Secondly…"
