"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I rise to also support this Motion by Mheshimiwa Ruweida. This Motion is timely considering what is happening in the country, following the passing on of our General. These are special persons in the country. On recruitment, they volunteer their lives to defend the country. When you compare those persons to, say, teachers, doctors and even myself, we do not readily offer our lives to die for the country as they do. Kenyans should know who the military are and treat them with a lot of respect and honour. Hon. Ruweida is proposing that when it comes to travelling, they are given preferential treatment unlike most of us who have not offered our lives to die for the country. However, as much as we have this proposal, maybe, this is a moment for Kenyans to reflect on the lives of the personnel who serve our country and The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
