Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(c), I wish to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Department Committee on Health regarding the operationalisation of the Rehabilitation Fund. Over the years, the country has witnessed a growing problem of drug and substance abuse. Communities across the country have grappled with the issue of drug and substance abuse with the devastating consequences of addiction adversely affecting individuals, families, and the society at large. In the recent past, there has been an upsurge in the prevalence of illicit brew consumption and narcotic drugs in regions across the country.
