Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended— (a) in subclause (1) by inserting the words “and assented to by the President” immediately after the word “Constitution”; (b) in subclause (2) by inserting the words “and assented to by the President” immediately after the word “Constitution”. The justification is to align the provisions in the clause with the language of Article 116 of the Constitution."
