    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I rise to request for a Statement regarding defilement of a minor in Kirinyaga County. For purposes of protecting her, kindly allow me not to mention her name. Hon. Temporary Speaker, pursuant to the provisions of the Standing Order 44 (2) (c), I rise to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security regarding defilement of a minor at Kiburu Village, Baricho Location in Kirinyaga County. Hon. Temporary Speaker, Kenya has enacted several laws and developed various policies to fight sexual offences. Despite the existence of many laws and policies prohibiting sexual offences in Kenya, there is still a sharp increase in sexual violence cases and the emergence of new forms of sexual violence which had not been addressed by the Sexual Offenses Act.
