    "content": " Yes, I am here. Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me this opportunity. My team and I have been waiting for this for a long time. Hon. Temporary Speaker, I beg to move the following Motion: THAT, this House adopts the Report of the Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity on the compliance of Article 54(2) of the Constitution regarding employment of persons with disabilities in public institutions, laid on the Table of the House on Wednesday, 21st February 2024. The Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity resolved to carry out an inquiry into employment diversity in public institutions, specifically on the status of the compliance of the composition of persons with disabilities in public institutions, pursuant to Article 54(2) of the Constitution. To achieve this objective, the Committee resolved to sample 39 public institutions for its Report on the compliance of the status of employment of persons with disabilities. Subsequently, the Committee invited the select institutions to make submissions on various dates regarding the institutions compliance with the same. The main objective of the inquiry was to assess the representation of persons with disabilities within the public institutions in Kenya. Specifically, the Committee requested the institutions to provide the following: 1. Status of compliance with Article 54(2) of the Constitution on composition of persons with disabilities in the institutions.
