"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have always said that when an issue of national importance comes to our attention, committees should be seized of the matter. I am happy with the Chairperson of the Committee on Health for doing that for the first time. We must provide leadership. The issue of doctors and other medical practitioners’ strikes has become a serious concern in this country. It is my wish as the Senator for Nandi and a leader in this country, that these issues will be resolved amicably. Last week I had an opportunity to sit in the joint committee meeting comprising the Departmental Health Committee of the National Assembly and that of the Senate led by Sen. Mandago. We were shocked because there are issues that have been resolved, but only two are remaining. However, when we sat in that meeting, it was like we were starting all over again."
