(2) Provide the Senate with data on the population of individuals living in various informal settlements in Nairobi, including the number of children and young people requiring access to education in Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, primary schools, and secondary schools. (4) Provide information from the Ministry of Education on the number and names of schools registered as private schools that provide primary education in informal settlements as well as the number of unregulated, low-cost private schools initiated by communities in these areas, including support, if any, that the Ministry provides to these community schools. (5) Present an estimate of the cost of building a school and outline how many schools the Ministry has constructed in informal settlements since 2022 as well as those planned for the next two years. (6) Conduct a public hearing with stakeholders from informal settlements to understand the experiences of learners and their families regarding access to education and make recommendations for the Ministry of Education and the Nairobi City County government to consider. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir."
