Temporary Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 29 of the Bill be amended in subclause (1) by deleting the expression “the Director-General or such other person that the Board may direct” appearing immediately after the word “Secretary”. The proposed amendment aligns with the Mwongozo Code of Conduct for State corporations which provides that the corporation’s secretary shall be the custodian of the common seal and shall account to the Board for its use."
