    "content": "THAT, acknowledging the fact that demand for electricity in this country far outstrips supply; further aware that small hydro-power generation plants can be used to supplement the Government’s effort to provide electricity to its citizens and encourage establishment of cottage industries through lower electricity costs; cognizant that the western part of Kenya is endowed with rivers such as the Nzoia, Yala, Arror, Weim Wei, Moiben, Chepkaitit, Kaptetit and others; this House urges the Government to establish small hydro-power generation plants on these rivers to supplement the supply of electricity to the national grid."
