    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a statement from the Standing Committee on Education regarding the operation of the National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya (NACONEK). In the statement, the committee should- (1) Table a report of schools per county and programmes funded by the council from 2015 to date. (2) Provide a budget allocation for the council in the last five years, including other funding by stakeholders and development partners. (3) State the criteria in the determination of the learning institutions under the council and the manner in implementation of the programmes and whether there are any plans by the council to expand the programme to cover learners in areas that were hard hit by recent floods. (4) Explain whether the council contracts companies to run the programmes under them, tabling a list of companies contracted and the specifics of the contracts. I thank you."
