    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I noted that when we were receiving evidence from accounting officers, majority of those accounting officers were people who were beyond 50 years. Some of them are all the way up to the age of 65. We would like to deplore that particular phenomenon and urge that the Government should give young Kenyans an opportunity to rise to the level of accounting officers while still young. That is nothing new in this country because we even know that some of the greatest leaders that this country has had, namely hon. Kenneth Matiba, was given an opportunity to be an accounting officer at the young age of 28 years. So, we would like our young professionals in this country to be given an opportunity at that prime age to serve as accounting officers."
