"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is important to mention that in addition to working on Report for the accounts of the year 2006/2007, we are also working on three other Reports. We have just ordered a special audit on De la Rue on the contract of printing of Kenyan currency. In addition to that, we also have two special audit reports available to us, on which we will be working in the next few months, the first one being on privatisation of Telkom Kenya Limited, and the second one being on the sale of Government of Kenya shares in Safaricom Limited. I am mentioning these two special audit reports because I would like to highlight the fact that we are going beyond the call of duty to ensure that we truly serve as the peopleâs watchdog in this Parliament. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, in the audit report for financial year 2005/2006, I will just look at two Ministries, the first one being the Ministry of Planning, National Development and Vision 2030. Particularly, I want to look at the Constituencies Development Fund (CDF). This is the only year when the CDF was actually audited, because in the previous years, the CDF was just in its teething stage. It was in its first year of existence. By the time of audit of the accounts for the year under review, the CDF had run for a whole year, and its accounts were also audited. For the most part, the audit report was very favourable.
