"content": "In May 2024, the Government of Kenya directed that all structures built on riparian land should be demolished, following the heavy rainfall that adversely affected tracts of land across the country. However, the manner in which those demolitions are carried out is deeply concerning and raises serious questions about the respect for human rights.
