    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Finance Bill. Let me start by appreciating the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning. I may not be a good economist, but I am a good mathematician. The essence of this Bill is to make the life of Kenyans bearable. I appreciate that they considered removing motor vehicle tax and edible oil tax. Hon. Speaker, as I have told you, I am not bad in mathematics. This amount of money is hidden in another aspect by taxing Kenyans more. Adding Ksh7 to the Fuel Levy means that we have moved from 8 per cent to 16 per cent VAT."
